Every year, Bighearted Scotland, together with the support of our amazing sponsors, presents a range of Awards to Scots from all walks of life - the unsung heroes who have made extraordinary personal sacrifices to help others. We also honour personalities from the worlds of Stage, Screen, Sport and Business who have made a significant contribution towards helping others less fortunate.
On 5th September 2008, at the Glasgow Marriot Hotel, this exceptional event will take place in conjunction with the The Scottish News of the World and FirstGroup Plc. BBC Scotland's Jackie Bird will host the evening, with First Minister Alex Salmond MSP presenting the Awards on stage.

The glittering black-tie evening is one of the most prestigious events of its kind in Scotland and is supported by many celebrities from the worlds of show business, media and sport. We will be raising the roof with a special live performance from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, now in demand all over the world to play at private events for Sean Connery, Ewan McGregor and many more. The Chillis will be headlining the packed programme of entertainment.
